GAIA-X: automated security for European data sovereignty
The challenge
GAIA-X is the European Union's flagship initiative to establish a federated data infrastructure ensuring Europe's digital sovereignty. The challenge: define and implement a robust cybersecurity framework capable of protecting critical data within a highly complex international collaborative environment, coordinating security architecture and development work from Germany alongside partners including Sovereign Cloud Stack (SCS) and Proventa.
The solution
We designed and implemented a fully automated cybersecurity pipeline based on DevSecOps methodology, natively integrated into the cloud infrastructure: continuous vulnerability assessment, configuration validation and real-time policy enforcement throughout the deployment lifecycle. Security embedded from the outset — Security by Design, not bolted on at the end.
